At the egm last night FDPL welcomed in the 4 remaining teams from Bannockburn. For season 2009 we have now increased our membership from 14 teams to 24. Consisting of 2 division this season.
Team amke up is the 14 teams from last year along with:
Pennies Bar
Pennies Lounge
Corner Pocket B
Rene's Bar
Crown Dennyloanhead
Bannockburn Miners
Cowie Miners
Fallin
Torbrex Inn

As you will notice this more or less consists of 6 of the existing Braes/Bannockburn league teams.

Thanks to all in the committee and also all member teams for making this a huge step forward for Falkirk & District pool league.

Is the other "new team" for division 2 The Stables?

I say "new team" sarcastically, because they played over 96% of games in the league last season. Not really a new team then!!sarcasm

We stressed to the members that this was the way forward for the league, also Peter put in a great argument for the Bannockburn teams. The members vote was unanimous for this as well. FDPL also has a new constitution which was passed last night which brings us into the 21st Century. Hopefully this will stop all the petty squabbles. pray

I well done, i said on the Clacks site years ago this was the way forward for the local areas. The Falkirk league must now be one of the strongest leagues in the country. With the players available they will be a major force for future county events.clap
