Jim, did you contact the papers to submit the news?

If not, could you email me the report and I will send it to the local papers.

Cheers.

Cheers for the report Jim.

I've submitted it to several local newspapers, so hopefully it will get picked up and an article printed.

Many thanks once again for resurrecting this historic event; it was my first time entering and was glad to win it and be part of the history!

Cheers again.

I haven't seen it myself but my Dad said there was a photo in the Hamilton Advertiser this week.

Just shows you that the papers will still print the odd bit if you try. I was a bit dubious about whether they would as the last time I saw stuff in our local paper about pool was when Allan Falconer ran everything and he was a councillor and had lots of connections so I always assumed it was easier for him. Especially when he went out of pool and everything in the papers disappeared.

Thanks Pat. I do have a question for you though. Well, for everyone actually. I was thinking about next year (now this year...I should get used to that) and whether there should be any changes you'd like to see Gary bring in. He could then use that as feedback for setting up the next one.

* Entry Fee

* Qualifying procedure (through your IM area, or open draws with qualifiers in Cue Here, or some other system)

* Races in qfs/finals.

* How many in finals? 64 would have been a bit tight over one day with a full field.

* Dress code.

* Seperate ladies event and/or qualifier to this event.

* Any other ideas that would improve the event? I was going to look into a live stream for the last one, but with there being other events on I wouldn't have been able to get the equipment.

Anything of that nature would be helpful from anyone really.
