There's at least 8 Scottish Players there Taxi Man. Looks like a great set up and a massive improvement from the previous regime. Think that's the first time I've ever watched the streaming without getting bored out my skull half way through. Good stuff.

Jourdan I think you need to read up on things a bit first before trying to dig people up.

Once you get your facts right then we can discuss it.

IPA tour has absolutely nothing to do with International pool or choice policy.

Maybe you missed just a post or two ago that Paul Harkness is playing on the IPA tour this year.

i was told on this a while back when trying to enter the world rules scottish that if your caught playing any form of world rules ur banned from blackball. IPA is a form of world rules? so if what ur saying is right then i was previously misinformed?

I think the person who told you that was meaning if the event was in Scotland.

The IPA play at present WRs in their tour but as the tour is in England anyone from the SPA can play in that event, if they wish.

Jayson the two Scott's played on a tour , playing WRs in England a few years ago.

Paul Harness is playing in the IPA tour this year, I will be running quualifers for thier events later this year, yes the qualifiers will have rto play BB rules in Scotland but then WRs in England.

If as they say they will be coming to do an event up in Scotland next year, then if they want the support of SPA, they would have to play BB rules in this country.

Hope that helps.

Just out of interest Ross, if for arguments sake the IPA tour sticks with WR next season and one of the events is in Scotland, does that create a situation whereby SPA players can enter the IPA tour but will either be banned for playing in, or lose out on ranking points by not entering, the tour event in Scotland?

Just hypothetical, I know it's irrelevant if they switch to BB rules next season.

The SPA policy is that their players play in BB events in Scotland, if that policy is still in place next year and the IPA decide to run an event in Scotland, the players will have a CHOICE to make, play in one IPA event in Scotland and lose out in playing in SPA events.

Their choice.

However if the IPA do decide to come to Scotland for one event, they already know the SPA the SPA choice policy and may play even just for that one event BB rules.

Well done to Paul this weekend, played well for someone who doesn't know the rules all too well Smile
Me and him both got beat in Last 16 of amateur and neither were cueing badly in any our matches
Think Paul will return to Scotland with a lot of good feedback bout the Tour and it's impressive set-up

I'm sorry but if your on bout Boyle , that's a ridiculous statement
Defo would be one of top players on Uk Tour though, not IPA no disrespect

Got to disagree with you there Ryan, at present Mark is one of the best pool players Scotland has evet produced, he would hold his own with any of them of that I am sure.

The fact being when it came down to the TV stages it would even be better for Mark as the bigger table would help him.

Yes he does not know WRs but he is a quick learner and his game is not just potting I can assure you of that, good brain, nice guy and a unbelieveable talent, he has got the lot and he should be on the IPA tour playing with the big boys.
