No point in Forfar paying for this year as most entries for comp's are in.

They should pay for 2014 and register at December meeting.

The point being Davy that even though entries are nearly all in, they still want to remain members of the SPA and to do so would mean they still have to pay their 50.

This is what David wants to do, so I don't see why the Sec of the SPA does not get in touch with him and inform him how to pay.

As mentioned above, every online league representative is given a unique email address which will be used for communication between SPA officials and affiliated leagues.
These email addresses have the format edinburgh@scottishpool.org, glasgow@scottishpool.org, etc

These are all online webmail email accounts and can be accessed by any web browsers at mail.scottishpool.org
This means that emails can be used online at any time by league reps.

The webmail account can be accessed as follows....

1. Direct browser to...
mail.scottishpool.org : http://mail.scott...

2. Enter full email address for your league.
Each rep's email addresses is listed here.
http://scottishpo...gues-email

3. Enter password...
This is the very same password provided to league reps for access to the development website and their league's twitter accounts.

4. Click 'Login'

League representatives can then use their email address to send or receive email on any pool related matter.

Only about one third of the league representatives from affiliated leagues have so far filled in the details requested on their league page.
Even so it's possible to provide a better estimate than before of the number of players and teams playing league pool in SPA affiliated leagues on a regular basis.

This list shows that from the leagues which have completed the online form there is an average of 17 teams per league.
http://scottishpo...gues-teams

And this table shows that there's an average of 285 register players per league... of which 190 play league pool every week.
http://scottishpo...es-players

Using the information gathered so far, the number of registered players in SPA affiliated pool leagues exceeds 9,700 of which it's estimated that around 6,460 play league pool on a weekly basis. There are some 600 league teams in total, averaging over 10 players per team.

That's based on one third of responses from affiliated leagues of course. When all leagues have nominated a league rep and the individual league pages have been updated there will be accurate statistics about the SPA's membership.

A bit less than the numbers mentioned on the home page of this site, but still a healthy number.

___________________________

Please PM or email with contact details for the online representative selected by your league and I'll send on the access and password details for your rep's web account so that he/she is able to vote and update your league's web page.
Many thanks.

What we need is someone from each SPA league to take this on, without it then all the work Bill is doing will be a waste of time.

The SPA need input from ALL member lagues on all things, from IM changes to where the 5 person event should be held and instead of the same people doing all the input we need every league to get involved.

So if you want to put yourself forward to represent your league on the website then ask, if no one else from your league is interested then no one else can say anything.

These are big changes in the way the SPA wants to do things ladies and gents, our VC has said many a time that we want MORE people involved, well get in touch with your area Rep and tell him/her to get this done otherwise again all the work Bill is doing for us will be a waste of time.
