Jackie Paterson Scottish 5 person team

Hahaha! Sorry I was only thinking it was 6 groups for some reason. In that case it really is pushed! In theory, you could start early and finish later on the Friday, so that's an extra two round. Same with the Saturday, that's an extra two. And then add in another on the Sunday morning. It's just about doable!

As I said it's 30 hours for 8 groups of 6, then you have all the knockout stages, finishing at 3 am on a Saturday night with the final on Sunday at 9 pm is out.

What is needed is reduced frames which will amount to reduced times.

If you all agree I will give you all best of 9 frames 8 groups of 6 teams. with the top 4 from each group going through to the knockout stages on the Sunday.

Still means that it is a long weekend for all starting at 7 pm Friday, finish at midnight.

Start at 9 am Saturday, finish at 1 am Sunday morning, only giving us 1 hour per match.

Last 32 knockout stage best of 11 .

What do you all think of this?

I'd be happy with that. Every play takes a shot in sitting out a match. Sounds good to me

Ross I wasn't having a go and I realise that it would be 2 games in the 1 match. I understand that time is the big issue but a lot of the games will be quick some class players playing in this and then tables become available.

Na son I know you were not having a go, did not even think that.

I want to give the players what they want but tables and time only allow for so much, so if the players/teams want groups of 6 best of 9 frames that is what I will give them but it has to be best of 9 frames.

Well if I can get a few more teams/players coming on here, saying they like the groups of 6, best of 9 frames then that is the way it will be done.

You cannot have events without players/teams and if you don't listen to them you are a fool.

I'd go for this. More pool all round.

Are you still having it that you can use all 6 players in the one match like previous years i.e. player 6 can play in the second set?

8 groups of 6 best of 9 only asking would it help time by not playing the carlsberg challenge and just putting all names in a raffle to see who wins the table

I would like to see it best of 10 so everyone plays twice and just raffle of the table at a 10 a team and then put money to charity?

With 48 teams in groups we do not have a lot of time.

Two proposals have been put forward, one groups of 4 playing all 10 frames, the other groups of 6 best of 9 frames, not playing them all out.

The second one means that there will be no extra time for the knockout challenge, as we will be playing from 7 pm Friday until pass midnight and again starting at 9 am Saturday morning and going on until the groups finish after 1 am Sunday morning an that is giving each match only one hour to finish?

After the deadline for payment has passed and when the payments have been collated to ensure everyone has paid. I'd estimate tomorrow (Monday) evening.
