Right the following have asked that their caravan is ok for Thursday night;

Cannon Fodder
Rack and Roll
Touching Cloth
Bawbags
Bankies Bashers
Robins Boys
Kittoch Cuesters

The above caravans will all be available for tonight.

Anyone turning up after 7 pm will get their key from myself as the office will be shut by then.

Some pool tables will be available but some cloths again are not right and the guys coming to fix them may not be there until tomorrow morning, so we may only be able to practice on a few tonight.

I have talked to Pettycur bay about this, as when they were all recovered early this year, the guys that did them cut the cloth to fine to the edge of the slate and made a mess of them.

After this event all the tables will be taken away to be replaced by new tables for the Supers in November and I want to thank PB for agreeing to help towards this.
The remaining costs will be meet by ISP Scotland, no costs to the SPA.

I want to thank Gill who without her the weekend would have been hell.

What can I say about the Jackie Paterson 5 person team event that has not been said in so many posts on Facebook and on here, nothing really.

Ronnie was a man I admired a lot, never lost it once, how young Chris is his son I do not know because he is nothing like his dad, that's for sure.

At one point of the event, I thought they had lost it all together, think it was the last 32 or 16, whatever it was, they had Ronnie on their side pulling them through to win, of that I am 100% sure.

On getting to the final, yes I wanted so much for them to win but could not really show it as I loved the other bunch just as much but this event is without doubt the best I have event been involved with and it could not have turned out better.

5/2 down and looking out but to fight back against class players who were just as determined to win for Jackie, goes to show you how well they ALL played.

Love this event, love what it means and roll on next year not only for the Jackie Paterson 5 person team but for the Ronnie Ferrier National Nines, if your lucky enough to be able to get a team in this event, then look out for a great time.

Miss you pal.

Had a great weekend as always just think more pool is needed but that would mean less teams. I'll be back next year cheers Ross

Boys Ronnies National Nines will take place in September 2016.

Cannot get venue date before then unless we lost out a Super event and that cannot happen.

The format is still to be decided as I will be talking to young Chris as well as others within the SPA Exec but it will include under 18s ladies and LDs within each team.Think Ronnie would have liked that.

Happy to inform the players that the Jackie Paterson 5 person team events will be held at Pettycur Bay over the weekend of 8/10th May.

As I informed the 30 odd teams that attended this year, are guaranteed a place in next years event if they still wish to attend.

So for the full month of December only the teams that attended this year can enter the event by paying a deposit of 50 or the full amount if they wish.

Teams that did not come this year can still enter on here and I will list them in order of date of entry, this way I believe will be fair on every team.

The event is limited to only 48 teams and will be played on a round robin basis as per the previous years before.

Costs are the same as the SPA Super events, 40 per player up to a maximum of 6 players per team.

Entry fee is 50 per team and based on getting the full 48 teams the prize fund will be 3000.

Once again I want to thank young John Paterson, who is the defending team champions captain for again supplying the winners and runners up medals.

There will be an additional special PPC on over the weekend where the winner will receive a very special prize. Full details of this will be given out to all team captains once the event if full.

Bank details to pay your deposit or full details are as follows;

Royal Back of Scotland
ISP Scotland
Account number 00103064
Sort Code 83-33-00

Please give a reference team name will do.
