Just 1 question regarding format

Will matches still be best of 9 frames? Could they not be increased to minimum 10?

The format based on 48 teams attending will be groups of 6 teams all playing 10 frames, so the match could be drawn.

Two points for a win, one point for a draw.
Points first, then frames for next, then if same, result in match between both teams, if drawn, then one frame play off.
Top 4 teams go through to knockout stages, with winners from one section playing a fourth team from another section and a second team from one section playing a third team from another section in the last 32.

Prize fund based on 48 teams;

Winners 1200
Runners Up 600
Semi x 2 300
Quarters x 4 150

Special prize one frame knockout played when time permits the CALSBERG PPC Challenge.

Each team can select or play off at previous venue before they arrive, one of their players to play in the Calsberg PPC challenge.

48 players will be put into a hat and drawn out one at a time to play off to a winner, the winner will receive a Supreme pool table as a prize,

Now we may not have enough time to do this as a one off, so it may come down to when the two players are available at the same/spare time, if you get my meaning but it will get finished by the end of the weekend and hopefully we can show the final frame live on the streaming.

As I said at the beginning of the post, ALL teams that attended last year will have the first chance of re entering the event again, right up to the end of this month, at which stage I will know how many places are left and will fill them in going with the other entry posts on here.

This event is a fun event, no dress code and ALL Scottish players are allowed to send teams to this, we have had just last year a good few players who were not SPA players playing in this event, who went back to their leagues informing them of BB rules etc and who have now got their leagues to join with the SPA and this can only help us grow each year.

Lastly , there you go David, 10 frames, a minimum of two per player in each match.

When you say it's open to all Scottish players, are there still restrictions on who can play in the one team?

Yes Maxi, I have cut it down to one star player in each team but still keep the team must if possible come from the same IM area or league if not IM member.

It is open to all to ask the question who is a star? in the team, I think I was to hard on previous teams stopping the likes of yourself playing with Billy and Chick to be honest here, so I am not saying anyone who played in the A teams from years ago cannot play with each other, all I am saying is now, I will look at the players who play/played in the last few years for the relevant International A teams and say they cannot play with each other.

I would however still keep an eye on teams , for example a Dunfermline team that included myself with Renzie or Dunster to say no way, I have not played for an International A team in years but still class myself as one of the top players in Scotland[ believe it or not] So I will try my best to look at all teams listed and make sure no one is trying it on.

Just bringing this back up to allow any team that entered last year the chance to do so again before the end of December when I will then go to anyone to fill the event.

Any teams that did not play last year can also enter on here and I will go with the date they posted in case we go over the 48 teams.
