Ronnie Ferrier National Nines 1/3rd September

Apologies Ross, but can you remove Arbroath please? We've had several call-offs and can't get a team together now.

Looks like a good few teams are not going to make this event now, maybe because of the age factor or maybe just to many events on at this time.

I have decided to go ahead with the event mainly because the man deserves to be recognised for what he did for Scottish pool.

So I am allowing teams to get players from other areas to make up the 9/10 they need and if some of these players are not yet 40 for a few years then so be it.

It is very hard to get any new event going and i hope the teams that have said they cannot make it, change their mind, with the new options helping them.

I also hope that everyone understands that this is a fun event, to honour a man who was loved by so many.

not anyone son, otherwise, well we get the kids going but I am allowing teams to being in players of late 30s or if they have to get a mate aged over 40 from another area.

I have to do this because so many team captains are finding it very hard at this time to fill their team with 10 players over the age of 40 from the same league, I hope you all understand this.

Great James and I believe arbroath are trying to fill their place as well, so going back up near the 20.

If there are any other leagues out there that can get 9/10 senior players, please try and get back to me.

Still 16 teams in the event, as long as it stays with that, then it will go ahead, if only 15 or less then I'm afraid I will have to cancel it and all teams who have paid will be sent back their money.

15/ East of Fife B

As you can see we are now down to 13 teams, even with East of Fife getting one more, it only brings us up to the 14 and I do not think it is worthwhile going ahead with the event.

Very sorry to do this to young Chris and the Ferrier family, who were so looking forward to being a big part of this event named after Ronnie but things change in the game of pool now a days, with so many events, so many clubs , its so hard to get players involved.

To the teams that have paid deposits or in full, your money will be refunded today, into the accounts, once you inform me of them on here.

I would also like to say, that I will remember those teams who did keep their word when it came to this event, its people like yourself that go out and try their very best , that means a lot to me.

Sorry John, was going to have two groups of 8 plenty of pool and lots of time off but without 16 teams it cannot work.
