Right dont want to start messing everyone around but Clackmannan have came back and said they can get a team.
Now with East of Fife having two teams in, that gives us 15, can any other area that was interested, like Midlothian be able to make up a second team if other players over the age of 40 from say Edinburgh or Livingston join them?
I am assuming that the other teams listed on the above post who have not paid are still coming in.

We're all set anyway so give you to the last minute.

. Ross, if there is any teams with just 7or8 am sure nobody would be against those teams playing 1or2 players twice to make up the shortfall. We do it in our league any there's never been any problems. The opposing team pick the 1or2 players. Just a thought.
Very true Derek and as this is only a fun event, first time the criteria has been relaxed ,to allow things like this.
Hopefully today with young Chris and Yvonne Saunders asking players from the Edinburgh/Midlothian league area to form a team, we can get that 16th place.
If it does happen then I will work out a format that will give all the teams lots of pool along with great times, as they will mostly all be playing at the same time, with the exception of Friday night.
Well go back to your team and tell them that its on.
We have 15 confirmed teams and I do believe we will get the 16th, so lets just go ahead with the event, if it turns out that we do not get that 16th team, then we will have a group of 7 instead of 8 which only means one less match for that group.
I will work out the format for you all to see, along with times etc and lets all have a few laughs, celebrate Ronnie life with a good few drinks and play some pool.
In the meantime young Chris and Yvonne will keep trying for that team.
Boys, I have decided to go ahead with the Ronnie Ferrier National Nines but as you both know there will be a maximum of just 16 teams in the event.
I want to do two groups of 8, thus giving them lots of pool.
My idea is as follows;
Start at 7.30 playing on two tables per match, playing out all 9 frames.
Start at 8.30 doing the same.
At 9.30 we stop, players can go out or stay in and play flyers/PPC/14/1 or Speed pool challenge match’s.
This way all players will have if they wish a choice to do whatever they like, no late night unless they want to stay up and play pool.
Saturday ;
Start at 10 am all teams now playing on one tables each.
I give one and a half hours for each match.
Next match 11.30 am then 1 pm to finish at 2.30 pm when players have a break to watch football, play flyers etc.
Restart again at 5 pm all team once more.
Next match 6.30 pm then 8 pm to finish at 9.30 pm.
Now that means that all 7 possible match’s if we get 16 teams will have been played by then, again players will have their choice of going out or staying in to play pool/etc.
Top 6 from each group goes through to knockout stages but the bottom 4, play off against each other and the winning team get a prize?
Sunday
The 4 teams come back in at 10 am to play off best of 9 to win a prize?
That leaves us 12 teams, top two from each group go through to last 8 and the other 8 play against each other to join them in the quarter finals, this starts at 12 am and is played on two tables each match but the race is now first to 9.
Quarters start at 1.30 pm again on two tables race to 9.
Semi’s start at 3.pm again on two tables race to 9.
Final at 4.30 pm race to 11 .
Prize money will be based on teams entering the event but I can assure everyone that a minimum of 2.5k will be paid out.
Young Mr Ferrier will be supplying the winners and runners up medals along with the trophy for the winning team, that has to be played for each year.
I know it is late notice and with only two weeks to go but it would be great if a league could get a team of players over the age of 40/late 30s to attend and make up the 16th place.
The format above as you can all see is really good and the event will be fantastic.
So is there any league out there that are interested?

West of Fife are trying very hard to get a team, to make up the 16 which would be perfect but if they don't them we are still going ahead with the 15 and one group will have 7 instead of 8.
Can all of the teams start listing the names of their players please.
Davy has kindly offered his services to this event and all match's will be done on his scoring system, which he will keep updated throughout the weekend.
Renzie has also offered his services as referee and young Kevin will be working on the top table all weekend along with myself.
Non of these people are getting paid, as I said all profit from this event will go to the World Championship fund along with other good causes like the Mick McGoldrick Foundation etc.
