We do ask players what area they're from when they enter the Seniors events if we don't already have that info & if you look at the ranking list each player does have they're area next to name but as far as senior events tying the player to that area for all SPA events that's news to me ....but if a player has stated his area to us then obv that's the area they want to be tied to anyway surely ??

gaz you don't need to be tied to an area too play in seniors or any other singles events

or dbles

only way tied to area is if you play county pool and that's only for the 11s and 15s in that order
then after 15s you can change area

That is not quite right either.

Within each calendar year: -

If you enter the IM's you are tied to the area you enter from for the calendar year you have entered.
If you don't enter IM's but play in the 11's you are tied to the area you play for.
If you don't enter IM's or 11's but you enter mens or ladies Scottish Singles OR Doubles you are tied to the area you enter from.
If you don't play any of the above but play 15's you are tied to the area you play for.

Edited to add: Entering the Willie McCartney will also tie you to the area you enter for that year.

You can move area, but would have to wait until the next calendar year.

Unless we have introduced some rules for other events that I wasn't aware of (i.e. events that you do not enter via submission of entry through your area rep).
