  2017 Scottish Doubles Area Draws
by: FCBash, 06-07-2017 08:56 PM (#1)

Please find below the link to the 2017 Scottish Doubles area qualifying draws.

Can Reps please note that the deadline for names of qualifiers is Sunday 13th August, this is one week before the event and will maximise the time to each area to play their qualifiers.

Races are first to 5 in the local qualifying.

Good luck to everyone involved.

Scott,

The answer is yes. However, a replacement playing partner must not have entered the tournament already and also be in the same IM area etc. A player change can only be made once. So, for example, Player A and Player B enter. Player B cannot make the 2nd round of qualifying so Player A plays alongside Player C. Player B cannot then substitute back in for any subsequent matches etc.

No Vinny, a team is allowed to take one replacement only and that player has to come from the same area [SPA rules] and he did not enter the event at the start.

Doubles
1. Lag for break
2. Alternate breaks thereafter
3. Alternate breaker from each team (same person cannot break every frame).
4. Team breaking can communicate with partner after breaking for ONE minute which includes playing shot.
5. After breaking teams visit over, oncoming team can communicate with partner for ONE minute which includes playing shot.
6. After first visits, teams can communicate between visits (NOT shots), for ONE minute which includes playing shot.
7. Once a player has approached the table, communication ceases.

Penalties
1. Warning.
2. Foul 2 shots.
3. Foul loss of frame.
