  Mick McGoldrick Day/s

Having talked to Michael Millen, chairman of Foundation, over some points regarding the Mick McGoldrick Foundation,

I am asking all members/clubs/leagues to keep the weekend of 26/27th May free to run some kind of event to raise funds for the Foundation.

Any small comp, any kind of comp, it would be good if kids could be involved as well but they don't have to.

As you know the Foundation aim now is to develop pool for all kids in Scotland, not just one or two as before and as such will be using funds for the Mick Mcgoldrick Academies as well as trying to raise enough funds to pay in full the expenses to send the under 15s team to the World Championships.

It's a big ask but something that their committee are trying as hard to do as they can.

So I'm requesting that everyone involved with the SPA posts on here with full details of what they will try and do that weekend, be it both days or just one.

I know I am asking a lot, mainly from the clubs, to give up their tables free that day/s but this is for a great cause and something the old man would have wanted, that i know.

Thanks son, Arbroath Open that weekend but better that than clashing with both the west and East of Scotland Tours.

Will change to the weekend of 26/27th May.

Ross,

Can you provide details if there is currently an academy in Ayrshire and if so where? I am not aware that there is currently one and if there isn't, is there a commitment to establish one in Ayrshire going forward

Cheers

Davie

Yes. There is one in Ayr 8 ball. Not many go though so new players would be great
